A Proven Career in Photography

Brian’s career spans over four decades, beginning in 1983 as a staff photographer for a local newspaper. His work in photojournalism earned numerous awards from the NC Press Association and the Associated Press. He covered a wide range of stories, from local features and sports to hard-hitting spot news. One of his most notable assignments included documenting the impact of the Sandinista/Contra conflict in Nicaragua, capturing images of war-torn children in a powerful visual narrative.

In the 1990s, after being selected as a Rotary exchange student to Venezuela, Brian shifted his focus to news, public relations, advertising, and product photography. His extensive experience includes coverage of national stories such as the Branch Davidian conflict in Waco, the Oklahoma City bombing, the Columbine High School shooting, and the high-profile cases of JonBenét Ramsey and O.J. Simpson.
